Manufactured by GE Automation & Controls, the IC754VGF12CTD is a display panel computer from the QuickPanel family. This device has a 12-inch (30.5cm) TFT touchscreen capable of 65,536 colors at a rate of 16 bits per pixel. Touchscreen resolution is 800 X 600 pixels. A stylus pointer is used to interact with the touchscreen display; however, an external mouse and keyboard are also supported via a USB connection. USB drivers for these devices are included with the operating system.
The IC754VGF12CTD utilizes the Windows CE operating system from Microsoft. Windows CE operates on a 32-bit architecture and uses the standard Win32 Application Programming Interface. The Windows CE operating system comes equipped with several applications and programs, which include the following: web browsing software, registry and flash memory backup programs, storage manager software for formatting and mounting drive partitions and transferring files between compatible hosts. This device also has the ability to view Excel, PDF, and Word documents.
The IC754VGF12CTD has two serial ports. COM1 is a DP25S female, and COM2 is a DP9P male. Both serial COM ports have data transfer rates ranging from 300 to 115200 bits per second (bps). This panel computer also provides two Ethernet ports with standard unshielded twisted pair CAT5 cables and RJ-45 connectors. These Ethernet ports support half or full duplex communications and require all connected devices to use auto negotiation.
The IC754VGF12CTD supports both internal and external memory. Internal memory includes 64 MB of flash memory and another 64 MB of dynamic memory. For external memory, a compact flash card port is supported as well as two USB ports.
